Arthur Egleton died from wounds on 3rd May, 1915, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast, but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 3rd Royal Fusiliers battalion was part of 85 Brigade, 28th Division, that had arrived in France in January, 1915 and had been holding the line in Belgium since then. In April and May of 1915 they were in action during the Second Battle of Ypres. |
